Does my computer meet standards for JOE access?
Eaton-issues PCs already meet the minimum requirements for JOE access. However, if you wish to access JOE on a non-Eaton-issued computer, here are the core requirements:
- Windows-based PC; Eaton recommends Windows 2000 or Windows XP
- Internet Explorer version 5.5 or later
- Internet Explorer 7, Firefox, Netscape, Opera, and Safari are not supported
- Cookies and JavaScript must be enabled
You can check the version of your browser by opening it, selecting the Help menu, and then selecting About Internet Explorer.
To enable cookies in Internet Explorer:
- Select the Tools menu, then click Internet Options.
- Select the Privacy tab.
- The slider control must be turned down to at least the Medium setting. Eaton does not recommend setting any lower than Medium.
- Click the OK buttons to close the windows and save your changes.
To enable JavaScript in Internet Explorer:
- Select the Tools menu, then click Internet Options.
- Select the Security tab, then click the Custom Level button.
- Scroll to Scripting, and set "Active scripting" to Enable.
- Click the OK buttons to close the windows and save your changes.
